Cardiac mapping and electrophysiology


Current Research

Dr. Dosdall’s research interests are focused on cardiac electrophysiology. He uses electrical mapping techniques to uncover the mechanisms driving arrhythmias and interventions such as pacing and defibrillation to treat those arrhythmias. His recent work has investigated the role of the specialized conduction system in cardiac arrhythmias. He is also working with models of chronic atrial fibrillation to develop MRI imaging techniques to evaluate structural and substrate changes accompanying atrial fibrillation. Noninvasive evaluation of the atrial fibrillation substrate will allow physicians to develop optimal personalized treatment options which will lead to improved outcomes for patients with atrial fibrillation.
